The State Premier pays a visit to ROTHENBERGER!

13. January 2009

Kelkheim/Taunus. Roland Koch, the State Premier of Hesse, made an unusual stop on Tuesday 13 January during his election campaign tour. Together with representatives of all the important national and regional media – TV, radio and the press - he visited the new ROTHENBERGER TEC Center in Kelkheim, where one of the most important regional employers continued safeguarding its location last year with a high investment volume.

A walkabout through the exhibition world of the internationally-active pipe die specialist was followed by a tour through the ultra-modern production facility.
The State Premier also lent a hand here and executed a professional pressing operation using a ROTHENBERGER “Pressliner”.

ROTHENBERGER has always stood for premium quality that is safeguarded sustainably due to the complete supply chain from a single source and
a production facility that is state-of-the-art.

Various ROTHENBERGER products in tough daily operations were demonstrated in the TEC Center training classrooms. State Premier Koch also showed himself to be a man of action here and carried out core hole drilling through concrete and steel under the most difficult conditions, to then subsequently gather information on the ROTHENBERGER training concept.

An animated dialogue with numerous journalists and representatives of the media then took place in the Audimax. CEO Dr Helmut Rothenberger also had the opportunity here to address his guests.

In his subsequent speech, State Premier Roland Koch made it clear that it is indeed very unusual to view an industrial enterprise during an election campaign tour. In the process, however, he emphasised that particularly in economically difficult times small and medium-sized, regionally rooted family enterprises were important guarantors for stability and safe jobs. Using ROTHENBERGER as an example, he pointed out in particular that research, development and production were concentrated here at one location and were not, as customary in many places, “fragmented”  all over the world.

Finally, the State Premier found himself unable to say no to lunch in “ROPIANO“,  the company’s own restaurant,  before he started out in his election campaign coach to his next appointment.
