The all new PLASTICUT+ cuts multilayer tubes everywhere, fast and accurately

Kelkheim. What began with the well-received introduction of the ROTHENBERGER plastic tube cutter PLASTICUT at the ISH 2009 in Frankfurt now finds its logical completion: The all new PLASTICUT+,  already introduced at the Frankfurt fair in a prototype state, now offers the same convincing advantages for cutting multilayer tubes.

Until now, a plumber would use a saw or a pipe shear for cutting MSR tubes. Both methods came with disadvantages that would more often than not lead to unplanned extra work or, even worse, to quality problems in the final result: Pipe ends deformed by pressure, non-angular cuts, inconvenient burr and an uncomfortable tool handling were the order of the day.

PLASTICUT+ quickly cuts multilayer tubes in diameters ranging from 16 to 32 mm with just a few turns – accurate and smooth without unwanted burring at the pipe ends. The ultra tight tube bedding effectively avoids deformation by self fixation and adjustment, thus banning the danger of damaging the metal layer inside the MSR tube. Corrosion or leaks are a thing of the past – ideal basis for a good measure of high quality work that will always pay at the end. ”Especially regarding the follow-up processes such as pressing, PLASICUT+ lays down the basis for sustainable quality“, as Matthias Bambl stresses a crucial aspect of the craftsman’s daily work.

Other convincing advantages are the compact, ergonomical design, the single-handed application and the non-slip surface that  PLASTICUT+ offers. All of this enables safe, quick  work, especially when space is limited or difficult to access, even under wet conditions. Working on installations already existing isn’t a problem any more.
