ROWELD triple M System sets new standard in user orientation with its modular design

Right on time for K 2007, which from 24th to 31st October at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre will be focussing the spotlight on innovations in the plastics sector, ROTHENBERGER presents a new dimension in the use of heating plate butt-welding machines.

With the new ROWELD triple M System, ROTHENBERGER offers a machine system from which the user can put together exactly the right machine needed to perform the current task in hand. These include application areas such as the laying of gas pipes in the high-, medium- and low-pressure range, the installation of supply and distribution pipes for fresh water, waste water pipes or the various piping systems used in industrial plants. For all pipe diameters from 90 mm to 355 mm and all SDR classes, the ROWELD triple M System provides sanitation, heating and cooling fitters with machines which enable them to work exactly in line with the relevant requirements. All the individual components are completely compatible with each other.

The system provides a comprehensive range of individual components for nominal pipe diameters from 90 mm to 355 mm. For easier orientation, these are divided into the high-pressure range HP (SDR 7.4 – 11), medium-pressure range MP (SDR 11 – 26) and low-pressure range LP (SDR 26 and larger). The basic machine HP is constructed to the proven ROWELD design with a robust base frame, which carries the rigid machine construction with two large aluminium side cheeks. The re-designed base frame is now even more compact, and therefore even easier to transport. The removable carrying handles can also be replaced on one or both sides with wheel sets. The ROWELD basic machine HP is recommended for the welding of thick-walled pipes and as a CNC machine.

In the basic machine MP, the welding unit is also mounted on the proven ROWELD frame, and can be used for the welding of pipes of medium wall thickness without additional stiffening. Yet another plus point: with the ROWELD basic machine MP too, the user has the optional of carrying handles or wheel sets.

The basic machine LP is equipped with only one hydraulic cylinder. This makes it ideally suitable for the welding of thin-walled pipes or pipes of smaller diameters. Even with very low welding forces, this allows the hydraulics to work within an accurately controllable pressure range.

In addition to the proven hydraulic systems for CNC and manual control, ROTHENBERGER has also developed a new “basic” hydraulic system. Through the combination of the latest motor technology and a simplified valve module, ROTHENBERGER has here succeeded in creating a solution which is as economical as it is technically functional.

ROTHENBERGER will be presenting yet another innovation at K 2007 in the shape of the new SDT (Single Disc Trimmer). Following its successful use in the ROWELD P200B, the ROWELD single disc trimmer is now available in the sizes 250 and 355. ROTHENBERGER has therefore been able to halve the weight of the trimmer without any significant loss in performance. The single disc technology guarantees parallel planar end processing at all times.
