Pressing technology can be so efficient

Exchangeable press jaws and press rings from ROTHENBERGER

The connecting of pipes using innovative pressing technology is for ROTHENBERGER, also at the ISH 2009, one of the focal points.  Attention will be drawn to the press jaws with exchangeable attach-ments, as well as to the press rings that can be used while working in confined spaces.

By conventional pressing many different press jaws are needed because of the variety of pipe connecting systems. An economical alternative are the ROTHENBERGER compact press jaws that can be fitted with exchangeable attachments, with top-grade materials and manufacturing quality, and which are suitable for system-conforming pressings of plastic systems from 16 up to 32 millimeter diameters.

Safety is guaranteed with the acceptance of the exchangeable attachments and with the fast locking securing device. One of the product’s convenient features is the 3-bolt-system that enables the jaw to be opened with just one finger.

The press jaws are made out of casted, highly resilient special steel and are suitable for all press machines with a constant, axial thrust of 19 kN and compatible press jaw fixture.  A special hardening process grants a high degree of elastic force and expansion capability, whereby the long-term corrosion protection makes them fit for heavy-duty field operation.

ROTHENBERGER press rings are suitable for confined spaces with their catch adjustment. They can be used with the ROMAX PRESSLINER as well as the ROMAX Compact, in which only one single temporary jaw is needed per machine type. Also outstanding is the self-adjusting characteristic of the press ring, avoiding pressing mistakes due to an over-angled position between jaw and fitting – for even more security during use.
