Hessian Prime Minister Roland Koch visits ROTHENBERGER

09. October 2006

Wiesbaden/Kelkheim. It has already become a tradition in Hesse: Every year, the Hessian provincial government holds meetings in places of extraordinary importance for the state. This year, the prime minister and his cabinet visited the renowned industrial group, Rothenberger in Kelkheim, Taunus.

"It was a great honour for us", exclaims CEO, Dr. Helmut Rothenberger, who, in co-operation with his executive colleagues, Ralf Weber, Stefan Geisperger and Adriano Cortesi, leads the strong and innovative family enterprise, "furthermore, it was a positive confirmation of the commitment to our location in Germany and our responsibility for the region."

Prime Minister Roland Koch convinces himself of the ROTHENBERGER press technology

Further emphasis of this commitment can be found in the new Rothenberger TEC Center. The 10 million Euro investment will employ 100 people in the Rhein-Main area. The Prime Minister’s visit enabled him and his cabinet members to develop an in depth understanding of a company, which in all international aspects (60 group corporations on 5 continents and 2.500 employees world wide) has never lost its roots as a regional, medium sized corporation. The entire "in-house" value chain, – from research and development to production, distribution, marketing and logistics – a strong focus on employee education and training (e.g.: ROTHENBERGER-College), and last, but not least, the assumed responsibility for the economic climate in the local region, are all factors which make ROTHENBERGER a company who’s "Economic driving force" successfully paves the way into the future. With a training rate distinctly over 10%, and a host of other attractive offers, the company provides its young talent with excellent future prospects.

The ROTHENBERGER Group consists of the company ROTHENBERGER, the leading producer of pipe tools and machines for innovative pipe connection technology and environmental technology, as well as AUTANIA AG, which is the leading European corporation in the field of mechanical engineering, providing technologically oriented system solutions within special segments such as complete finishing, precision sharpening and modification/transformation technology.

Pipe Connections – The Vital Arteries of the World
In the course of the visit, the state politicians were given insight to ROTHENBERGER’s newest product innovations. The Prime Minister himself took the opportunity to personally test a ROMAX-Pressliner with which he carried out a text-book pipe connection, which in turn convinced him of the fact that the excellent technology found at ROTHENBERGER is not only high quality and reliable, but also very easy to operate.

"Pipe connections, which transport water and energy are the vital arteries of the world; just as important as the arteries in the human body", Dr. Rothenberger summarizes the corporate philosophy, "and we are proud to make our contribution to ‘Made in Germany’. Moreover, we are proud that the visit of Prime Minister Roland Koch brought about even more appreciation for this concept.
